Crime cameras available for purchase

In September 2019, the Biloxi Police Department teamed up with the nonprofit corporation Project NOLA to help eliminate violent crime.

They set up crime cameras in the downtown area as a test run. After a successful trial run, the cameras are now available for residents to purchase for their homes and businesses.

The whole focus behind the crime cameras is to provide more safety in South Mississippi. For example, having one of these cameras can help solve porch pirate crimes among other trespassing concerns. “It gives us an opportunity to try and identify that suspect. In the business community, protecting their business, giving them a peace of mind if they need to see what’s going on, if the alarm goes off or the unfortunate happens and somebody breaks in, hopefully we can resolve that crime.”

For prices and further questions about the crime cameras contact Biloxi Police’s criminal intelligence unit or representatives from Project NOLA.
