Crews Work to Clean Up After CPR Fest in Gulfport

Work got started first thing Monday morning cleaning up after CPR Fest at Jones Park. Workers tell News 25 the grounds were covered with trash and debris left behind by festival goers.

There was enough trash to fill up two 46 foot long dumpsters. Workers say there was less trash left behind this year than previous years.

Fred Fleming of Gulfport Leisure Services says, “We have three carts out picking up trash from the cans. We had two guys out picking up paper with the pickers, so we got it all done, got it done pretty quick.”

Tuesday, the city will finish with the park cleanup by removing the barricades, port-a-potties, and the thousands of feet of chain link fence around the perimeter of the park.
