Crawfish Music Fest in full swing

Calling all festival goers! The 26th annual Crawfish Music Festival has officially kicked off tonight at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.

Well-known rides such as the ferris wheel have made their way to the fairgrounds. The mid-way was packed with Coast residents eager to get themselves on the rides and eat their favorite carnival foods.

While some come to the Crawfish Music Festival for the thrill of the rides, Ocean Springs resident Beau Beaugez tells News 25 he’s here to enjoy the festivities with his family. “It’s for the kids, it’s all about the kids. I brought my two girls, my nieces with me, and it’s just coming out here and having some family fun. Plus, tasting all the different crawfish, that’s the best part about it. You get different cooks from different places and you try the different ones. You know, everyone has a different perspective on things and just tasting everybody’s different crawfish. It’s awesome.”

If you missed out tonight, you can still enjoy the festival throughout the weekend until Sunday, April 22nd. Don’t forget about the crawfish cookout with dozens of teams going head-to-head to see who has the tastiest hot boiled crawfish. The cook-off is set to begin Saturday at 1 p.m. Tickets for the cook-off are $12 for all you can eat.
