Couple arrested for carjacking and kidnapping in Pascagoula
A Tennessee couple is behind bars in Jackson County for allegedly carjacking and kidnapping a man. Authorities are crediting a female jogger who acted as a Good Samaritan for the quick arrest.
According to police, Tommy Hill and Christie Burnett approached a male at his home on Parsley Avenue as he was returning home. The suspects forced the man back into his own car as Burnett drove and Hill held a revolver on the victim.
The suspects released the victim at the corner of Pascagoula Street and Beach Boulevard where a female jogger called 911. Pascagoula officers were able to arrest the suspects at the intersection of Brooks Street and Old Mobile Highway.
Both suspects have a bond of $50,000 for carjacking and kidnapping.
