Coroner says homicide ruled out in Corri Howard’s death
An autopsy completed today rules out homicide in Corri Howard’s death.
The 36-year-old was found January 13 in a marsh behind a home on Howze Street in Moss Point.
Howard had been last seen on January 8 when police tried to pull him over on a traffic stop and he fled. According to Moss Point Police, Howard fled the scene and they lost him during the chase. He was found five days later in the marsh.
Jackson County Coroner Bruce Lynd Jr., said the autopsy ruled out homicide, but a cause of death has not been determined pending the state medical examiner’s toxicology and histology reports.
Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is leading the investigation into Howard’s death.
