Construction on Track for Biloxi Baseball Stadium

Construction on the baseball stadium in Biloxi is on track and moving forward.

Contractor, W.G. Yates & Sons, has begun to lay down footings for the beams that will be going up. The actual steel of the stadium will go up in mid to late October. As it stands, the stadium is slated to be done a year from now, which would be two thirds into the baseball season.

Vincent Creel, Public Affairs Manager for Biloxi, says, “They’re on schedule, but what a lot of council members would like to see is that schedule sped up. Right now, they’re looking at an August completion date, about a year from now, a little but less than a year from now, but the council members would like to see this project brought home a lot earlier.”

Contractors have said if there’s any way they could speed up construction of the stadium, they will.
