Construction moves forward on Mississippi Aquarium

This morning a massive step in the construction of the Mississippi Aquarium took place.

Contractors from Roy Anderson Corp. installed the first set of acrylic panels that will act as windows for the main habitat.

This is phase one of a two week process and they plan to install the bigger windows and the 360 degree tunnel next week. These windows will look into the habitats and will allow visitors to connect with the aquatic world.

The 360-degree acrylic tunnel will have sharks, rays, and all the aquatic wonders of the Gulf of Mexico and beyond swimming all around.
