Community mourns death of Micah Harrington
The community continues to mourn the loss of 41-year-old Micah Harrington who was brutally murdered at the Mazalea RV Park Tuesday evening.
Biloxi police responded to the scene to find Harrington’s body with stab wounds and partially dismembered.
Hours after the attack, they arrested 41-year-old Clint Brower. He has been charged with first-degree murder.
Residents in the RV park say Brower has a history of mental illness. Mazela RV Resident William Petty said, “Shook, shook up. It’s quiet, it’s really quiet. There’s good folks, good management, it’s a nice area. It’s just one of those things that the system failed one individual and that’s all it is. The system failed, failed. And I believe that. It wasn’t the community, it wasn’t any of the above, it’s a good community, he’s been here for years. It’s just the system failed him. He needed more psychiatric help, I believe that’s the issue and he just didn’t get it.”
Brower’s bond was set at two million dollars.
According to the Harrison County jail records, he was previously arrested for simple assault and simple domestic violence.
Neighbors say Harrington’s body will be cremated and a service will be held in Tennessee where his daughter lives.
