Community Comes Together to Pay Respects to Officer Deen

Days after Officers Benjamin Deen and Liquori Tate were killed during a traffic stop in Hattiesburg, the community comes together to pay their respects to fallen officer Benjamin Deen.
From five to eight hundreds of people piled into Temple Baptist Church for the wake of Officer Deen. His body was brought to the church around 3:30 this afternoon. Deen was named “Officer of the Year” in 2012 for saving a family from a burning home. Leutinant Allen Murray, with the Hattiesburg Police Department, worked closely with Officer Deen and considered him a friend.
The funeral for Officer Benjamin Deen will be held at Temple Baptist Church at 11 on Thursday May 14th.
