Community Action of South Mississippi to host school supply drive

The members at Community Action of South Mississippi are helping students prepare for the new school year with a back-to-school drive-thru bash.

The free drive will take place at 5343 Jefferson Street in Moss Point at the back of the building. Guests are asked to drive to the back where they will be given the supplies based on how many children you have.

Supplies given out includes pens, pencils, markers, erasers, backpacks, and so much more.

The bash will be held Monday through Friday from July 18th to the 29th or until supplies run out. Items will be given out from 2:30 to 4 on these days. Adult Community Services Director Lee Ann Kendrick said, “We just do a lot of community service, and so this is one of the ways that we try to help our community and this is for anybody – anybody in Jackson County’s more than welcome to come on out, and actually anybody in Jackson, Harrison or George counties if their interested, they need something, give any one of our offices a call and we’ll definitely make sure we can help out.”

Community Action encourages guests to come as early as possible in case supplies run out.
