Commitment to serve the community ceremony at D’Iberville City Hall

This evening, D’Iberville City Hall was filled with the elected city council.

Serving his eighth term as mayor of D’Iberville Russel ‘Rusty’ Quave swears into office for another term. He is already the longest-serving mayor on the Coast, serving as mayor for 28 years.

Mayor Quave tells News 25 he’s excited for the future of D’Iberville and what’s to come including more economic development, jobs, and opportunity.  “This job can be complacent. You can get in it and do nothing, but why run for the job if you’re not going to do anything and what I try to do is get all my city council active in the entire city, not just the ward that they’re in. Sure, take care of your ward, and then let’s work together to make D’Iberville better and the Gulf Coast as well.”

Mayor Quave also welcomes new council members and is excited for the new connections and resources they’ll bring to help grow the city.
