Combat Wounded Veterans of South Mississippi Three Day Fundraising Event

A rally is underway to honor our veterans and active military while raising funds for the Combat Wounded Veterans of South Mississippi.
Coming up next Friday, the three day event sponsored by St. Joseph Hospice will kick off. On tap, performances by the Victory Belles who plan to visit patients at Biloxi’s VA hospital next Sunday and other performances throughout that weekend by American Idol’s Skylar Laine and Connor Humphreys.
The big fundraiser takes place Saturday night at the Saenger Theater in Hattiesburg at 6 p.m. All funds raised will go to the Combat Wounded Veterans of South Mississippi, a group that takes care of the overlooked needs of our local veterans. John Mace with St. Joseph Hospice said, “These people really fill the gap. These people will help with the light bill, build a ramp, help with the purchases of a van, any need that the veteran has, they have a wide spectrum of services. It was easy to choose them as our charity of choice for this particular event.”
The kickoff celebration takes place next Friday, August 5th at the Oak Grove Senior and Veterans Center in Hattiesburg with a celebration of our veterans of World War II.
