Coastal Mississippi Mardi Gras Museum opens Nov. 19th

On Howard Avenue, they’re putting the finishing touches on the Coastal Mississippi Mardi Gras Museum.

A special opening gala is scheduled for tomorrow evening at 6 p.m. Admission to the event is a $75 donation.

Formerly the Mardi Gras Museum, once housed in the historic Magnolia Hotel, the museum’s new namesake reflects Mardi Gras relics, regalia, and celebrations throughout the Mississippi Gulf Coast from Pascagoula to Waveland. Mardi Gras Museum President Andi Oustalet said, “We are thrilled to death. This has been a long time coming and the museum has really been influx and in transition for years. So, we are just thrilled to death. Starting tomorrow evening with our gala and then Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. our doors are open and we are ready for business.”

The official opening of the Mardi Gras Museum is next Tuesday, November 19th. Hours of operation will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.
