Coastal Mississippi Mardi Gras Museum grand opening in Biloxi

It’s a tribute to the history of Mardi Gras in Mississippi. Tonight was the grand opening of the Coastal Mississippi Mardi Gras Museum.

The newly renovated building is chock full of traditional Mardi Gras attire, including the krewes’ king and queen gowns from the Mardi Gras season on showcase, a theater, a stage, and so much more. The event featured a Louisiana-style band, food, and drinks.

Board President Andi Oustalet says this is an exciting day for the Gulf Coast. “Everyone has been very positive and happy with this whole endeavor. So we are really, really thrilled that the public has come out tonight and that they’re showing a lot of support. This is for all Mardi Gras crews, not just one but everyone from Bay St. Louis to Waveland to Pascagoula. We want everyone to bring their Mardi Gras here and share it with us.”

The museum will officially open to the public Tuesday the 19th.
