Coastal Mississippi Mardi Gras Museum getting in the spirit

With the cancelation of parades, you might need some help getting into the Mardi Gras spirit.

The Coastal Mississippi Mardi Gras Museum located on Howard Avenue in Biloxi can help. The museum will take visitors through past Mardi Gras celebrations with clothes, photos, and artifacts documenting the events.

The museum wants visitors to have a safe, enjoyable carnival season. They’re also helping individuals get into the spirit from the comfort of their own home. Coastal Mardi Gras Museum Executive Director Anna Harris said, “We have to do big things. One thing we’re doing is the Yardi Gras and we’re asking you to decorate your home or business. We’re calling it a yard party. You can win a king cake, Cane’s Chicken, or other goodies. It’s a way to get the community involved and everyone excited.”

They’re also selling a to-go celebration kit complete with a king cake, Mardi Gras glasses, and even king cake coffee.
