Coastal Family Pediatric Clinic hosted drive-thru immunization

Earlier today, the Coastal Family Pediatric Clinic in Biloxi hosted its second drive-thru immunization fair for July.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Coastal Family Health has made its immunization services accessible for all without having to leave your car. Patients simply pull up and forms are brought to them in their vehicle.

In order to get immunizations, patients must bring a photo ID, shot record, and an insurance card if possible.

With the start of the school year just around the corner, Coastal Family Health’s Dr. Wendy Williams says it is important for children to get their immunizations now. “Right now, immunizations are the last thing on people’s mind, but this is why we’re on TV and why we’re out here pushing this because it is very important that those four- and five-year-olds get their immunizations before they start kindergarten as well as the seventh graders have that T-dap before they go into seventh grade. No matter what school you’re going back to or if it’s virtual or in-person, in order to register for school you’re going to have to have those immunizations.”

The next drive-thru immunization fair will be held on July 24th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Coastal Family Health Pediatric Clinic in Biloxi.
