Coast Young Professional’s 12th annual Black Tie and Blue Jeans Gala

Attendees of the Coast Young Professional’s 12th annual Black Tie and Blue Jeans Gala were unable to show off their outfits to one another this year due to COVID.

The event was streamed online via CYP’s Facebook page and virtually honored ten accomplished and influential mentors of the Mississippi Gulf Coast with the ‘Forever Young’ awards.

Mississippi President of Hancock Whitney Emory Mayfield spoke to the virtual audience about the importance of young professionals and their roles in the community. “There’s so many things that go in to making this a great place to live and I’m saying this because I think it’s incumbent on all of us, the young professionals in the community, to write the next chapter. I think that if we’re going to do that, it’s all going to start with a vision. And part of that vision and knowing where we want to go is also thinking big and really thinking outside of the box to figure out everything that this community can become.”

The 2020 Forever Young award recipients were Tania Johnson, Brooke Robbins, Chad Barlow, Keva Scott, Dr. Cassandra Connor, Robin Killeen, Todd Trenchard, Emily Burke, Pam Sanders, and Lawanda Jones.
