Coast Mustang Club Presents Check to Local Charities

The Mississippi Coast Mustang Club held their monthly meeting Thursday night, but this one was a little different than others.

The club started its monthly meeting by presenting checks to several local charities. Each year, members of the Mustang Club nominate and vote on local charities to receive their donations. The donations are generated from the club’s car shows, cruise-ins, and host car club participation in Cruisin’ the Coast. On hand to receive their donations was Make-A-Wish of South Mississippi and Combat Wounded Veterans of South Mississippi.

Shellie Moses of the Make-A-Wish Mississippi Foundation says, “The Mustang Club is the oldest and longest organization that’s ever given to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Mississippi. We’ve been around for 30 years and they’ve been supporting us for 30 years. So to have someone that believes in our organization and believes in our kids that much, it means the world to our kids.”

The Mustang Club also gave donations to the Gulf Coast Women’s Center for Nonviolence and Feed My Sheep.
