Coast mayors discuss water impacts in Washington, D.C.

Five Coast mayors are in Washington today to discuss the impacts to our Mississippi Sound caused by the reopening of the Bonnet Carre Spillway.

Mayor FoFo Gilich of Biloxi, Pascagoula Mayor Dane Maxwell, Waveland Mayor Mike Smith, Long Beach Mayor George Bass, and Moss Point Mayor Mario King met in the White House today.

Federal officials acknowledged the severity of the problem and promised to work with Coast leaders and state and congressional officials to accurately gauge all impacts and identify potential solutions.
