The U.S. Coast Guard is continuing search efforts for a Mississippi Coast man after receiving a report from a fishing vessel of a 55-year-old man in the water in Chandeleur Sound on Tuesday.
In response, multiple Coast Guard units were deployed, including air crews from Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans, an air crew from the Coast Guard Aviation Training Center in Mobile, and boat crews from Coast Guard Station Gulfport. Local partner agencies also joined the search.
Officials say the search remains active as crews continue working to locate the missing man.
