Club Unveils Inaugural Biloxi Shuckers Radio Network

The Biloxi Shuckers are thrilled to announce the unveiling of the inaugural “Shuckers Radio Network” as well as Coast Radio and WGCM AM-1240 as the team’s flagship radio station. The radio network will provide Shuckers baseball coverage to a number of stations throughout Mississippi. WGCM will serve as the hub for each broadcast, airing all 140 games during the 2015 season.

“The excitement for baseball on the Gulf Coast is incredible, and we are excited to be able to provide comprehensive on-air and online coverage of the inaugural season of Shuckers baseball,” said Shuckers General Manager, Buck Rogers. “We are thrilled to be working with these great radio partners and hope to build our broadcast footprint each year. Shuckers fans will enjoy the play-by-play coverage and game analysis provided by Chris Harris, our Director of Media and Broadcasting and 2013 Southern League Broadcaster of the Year.”

WGCM AM-1240 was the first radio station on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. It is the second-oldest in the state.

Shuckers’ game broadcasts will also be heard on the following stations: WPMO AM-1580 in Pascagoula/Moss Point, WMXI FM-98.1 in Hattiesburg/Laurel; select games on WVGG AM-1440 and WRBE FM-106.9 in Lucedale and WRJW AM-1320 in Picayune.

Fans will also be able to listen to games for free at and by using the TuneIn Radio app on their mobile, desktop or home devices. Additionally, home games played at MGM Park as well as select road games will be available on MiLB.TV, a subscription-based service provided by Minor League Baseball.

The first radio broadcast will hit the airwaves on Thursday, April 9 from Pensacola, FL with the network pregame show at 6:15 p.m. The Shuckers open their inaugural season against the Blue Wahoos (CIN), at 6:30 p.m.

The Biloxi Shuckers are the Double-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers and a member of the Southern League.
