Closing The Wage Gap For Women In Mississippi
House Minority Leader David Baria of Bay St. Louis filed a bill Wednesday that aim’s to ensure women receive equal pay.
Baria argues it’s important the state takes measures to prohibit wage discrimination against women.
the median annual pay for a woman in Mississippi who holds a full time, year round job is slightly above 31 thousand as opposed to men who make an average of 40 thousand a year.
