Climb CDC Offers a New Program

After Hurricane Katrina, Climb CDC started a program for its students to learn construction to help rebuild.
Now Climb CDC is doing the same with the BP oil spill by trying to help restore the Gulf. Their new Conservation Corps program could eventually create gulf restoration experts out of students already living on the coast.
Conservation Corps members are working for the nature conservancy during this summer’s six week program. Corps members get hands on experience testing water samples and gathering fish samples. Through this program, members gain hands on experience to become the next gulf restoration experts.
Trained workers through the conservation corps could be on step toward creating a restoration economy.
