Climb CDC and local barbers help the homeless

Homeless and people in need at Loaves and Fishes in Biloxi received a helpful visit from Climb CDC and other community volunteers today.
The kitchen was busy with students in the community development corporation’s culinary program who were putting their new skills to work, cooking and serving hot meals.
Local barbers and hair-stylists also stepped into help by giving complimentary haircuts. Volunteer Paul Boudreaux said, “I love what I do and giving back to the community, I was raised right around the corner. A lot of these folks I know, I’ve seen all my life, so to be able to help them, I’m honored. I really am. If you can help, help. If you can do something for somebody do it. Don’t expect anything in return.”
Loaves and Fishes is always looking for volunteers. You can sign up online. The service project was the second outreach event for Climb CDC’s culinary class this year.
