Classes Back in Session at USM’s Gulf Park Campus

It was a mixture of excitement and nerves on USM’s Gulf Park campus today as classes officially got back in session.
New and returning students have a lot to look forward to this school year with plenty of campus improvements finished and underway.
The school is currently adding more walkways and extra lighting to make it easier and safer for students to move around campus. The new College of Business and Health building is under construction on the north end of campus and much more.
Today, News 25 spoke with a couple of transfer students excited to begin the next chapter of their college career at USM.
Junior Adrian Russell said, “I’m super excited. I love all the instructors here. I love how they’re just so friendly and they have volunteer placement and they really work with my schedule. I’m a new mom. I have a three month old son.”
Junior Lauren Slay said, “I’m super excited just to reach my dreams and study really hard and learn everything that I can about helping others. My major is social work so I’m just super excited.”
USM’s Gulf Park campus kicks off welcome week starting next Monday with events all week long.
