Claiborne Senior Living Facility hosting Senior Citizen Fair

The Claiborne Senior Living Facility in Gulfport is hosting a senior fair this Thursday at Gulfport Highlands near their community.

The fair kicks off at 10 a.m. and will last until 2 p.m. Festivities will be held outside to ease COVID concerns.

Representatives from the Claiborne say they are holding the fair in hopes of getting senior citizens out and about and engaged in the community. Marissa Butterfield with Claiborne Senior Living Facility said, “We’ll have several different community partners out. We’ll have a shred tent as well as the veteran’s association to answer any questions. We’ll have games and door prizes. We’ll also have some food and refreshments.”

Diane Moody with Claiborne Senior Living Facility said, “Basically, we just wanted to do something that would involve the community and involve seniors and be able to go out and have a good time.”

The Claiborne is currently pre-leasing apartments within their community.
