City of Ocean Springs Hopes to Raise Awareness on Rising Sea Levels with Survey

The city of Ocean Springs is asking residents to fill out a survey on rising sea levels.
The questionnaire is meant to bring awareness to damages that come with natural disasters, especially now in hurricane season. The survey will only take a few minutes and asks for your opinions on how to keep the community safe.
Planning and Grants Administrator Carolyn Martin said, “I think that’s the interesting thing about sea level rise, because it doesn’t happen quickly. It’s not as much on people’s radar, so we want to get the conversation there, so people can start planning ahead and the good news is you do have time to plan ahead but you can’t wait to start working on it.”
To complete the survey, go to surveymonkey.com or call the Ocean Springs Planning Department at 228-875-4415.
