City of Gulfport asking for input after flooding

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- After last week’s major flooding, the City of Gulfport is asking residents to help identify problem areas.

The city is asking anyone who experienced street flooding last week or flooding that impacted a home or business to report it by calling 311.

Residents should be ready to provide the location, when the flooding happened, and whether a home or business was affected.

City officials say the reports will help update drainage maps, identify trouble spots, and prioritize future infrastructure improvements.
