City of Gautier Approved Plans for Splash Pad

A new fun way to cool off during the warm summer months will soon be coming to Gautier.
Last night, the Gautier City Council voted to move forward with a state of the art splash pad set to be built at George Martin City Park. The custom designed splash pad will be right next to the parks existing playground. Children will be able to splish and splash on 2,000 square feet of multiple water spouts- with a unique Gautier related theme.
Samantha Abell, Gautier city manager, said, “So, our senior center is also at the park. We have families that are fishing, utilizing the pier and boating. We already have a playground there and so we want to make sure that families of all ages, whether you’re grandparents or new families just starting out, that you can spend all day at the city park and the splash pad is just obviously, especially with the heat of summer is going to be another amenity.”
The splash pad is expected to be completed within the next three months.
