City of Moss Point closures during COVID-19 outbreak

Overnight, Moss Point Mayor Mario King released a statement announcing closures in the city.

All restaurants, churches, bars, movies, and much more will be closed, but not places such as grocery stores, pharmacies, and health care facilities. These closures went into effect at noon today.

Mayor King encourages social distancing at all times even when picking up your food from restaurants.

Only five people will be allowed inside a restaurant at a time when picking up food and everyone has to stay six feet away from each other at all times.

The restrictions will remain in place until April 19th, 2020. The exception is, but not limited to medical necessity, food, work, childcare, laundry, restaurants that offer takeout or delivery, and other essential services needed.
