City of Biloxi producing new entertainment series

The City of Biloxi is now highlighting local artists and city culture over their multimedia platforms.

Videographer Renny Sherman premiered his series ‘Biloxi Cooks!’ on January 1st, featuring members of the Biloxi Fire Department cooking one of their favorite meals at the fire house.

Also, four locally themed animated stories from Children’s Librarian Kelly Derouen are now being featured as part of the ‘Storytime with Gumbo Kelly’ series.

City officials say these series are a unique way to learn more about Biloxi in a virtual and safe manner. Cecilia Dobbs-Walton with the City of Biloxi said, “With the Covid-19 pandemic, a lot of people are doing more things at home, so by having more shows that kind of showcase Biloxi, and to give people something and entertaining to watch, that they can do from their own home in a safe way, but still kind of connect to Biloxi.”

The first episode of ‘Biloxi Cooks!’ can be found on B-TV and the city’s YouTube page along with ‘Storytime with Gumbo Kelly.’

Additionally, the second episode of ‘Biloxi Cooks!’ will premiere in February.
