City of Biloxi gearing up for annual St. Patrick’s Day events
The annual Hibernia St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Biloxi is still set to roll on this weekend despite growing Coronavirus fears in other parts of the country.
This Saturday, the City of Biloxi will spend the day celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. Kicking things off with the annual Hibernia St. Patrick’s Day 5K in the morning and then at 10 a.m. the ‘Grillin’ on the Green’ event begins.
‘Grillin on the Green’ features a bbq competition, arts and crafts vendors, live entertainment, and more.
The parade starts at 2 p.m. and is expected to last for around an hour. It will have about 50 units showcased all throughout the streets of Biloxi. Cecilia Dobbs-Walton with the City of Biloxi said, “It is going to run along downtown streets and it is going to have about 50 units which will all be floats and walking units. They will have some new and exciting things this year so you have to come to Downtown Biloxi to see what all of the excitement is.”
Be mindful of traffic during the parade and make sure you park in a legal parking spot.
