Cinema by the Shore

Every third Friday from April to August, the City of Gulfport will have its Cinema by the Shore movie nights in Jones Park.

This event allows families and friends to enjoy free movies along with bounce houses, refreshments, popcorn and cotton candy. The city recommends families bring picnic baskets and blankets. No alcohol is allowed.

Tomorrow is the first movie night of the 2018 season and it’s sure to be a good one. Chris Vignes with the City of Gulfport Public Affairs said, “It’s a family atmosphere for people to come out and enjoy. It’s free. We have kid activities that start at 6:30. We got bounce houses and obstacle courses. This Friday, we will have the Bay Ratz Marching Club from Bay St. Louis that has kids that will do a drum line. It’s really neat. At dusk, we will show the movie ‘Sing.’”

Limited parking is available at Jones Park. Additional parking is located by the Highway 90 and 20th Avenue entrance.
