Christmas wreath ceremony at the Biloxi National Cemetery

The Biloxi National Cemetery remembered those who fought for our country this holiday season during their annual Christmas wreath laying ceremony.

Family members, friends, and the community are normally asked to come out and pay their respects to the fallen soldiers. However, this year, the event was shared with everyone through Facebook live.

Those who attended helped lay the wreaths and paid their respects the best they could during these tough times with COVID-19. Retired Air Force Veteran John Snow said, “I respect all of these graves. Last year I came out when they laid the wreaths. It’s very impressive. Reimann does a super job for the military. I used to go to all the funerals over there and it was very heartwarming. It don’t matter how many you go to, when Taps plays it makes your skin crawl. It’s a very, very sacred place. I’m glad we have one here.”

The cemetery appreciates all the local support and community members for helping them honor veterans each Christmas season.
