Christmas in the Pass 2016
The City of Pass Christian is kicking off the holidays tonight with the 31st annual Christmas in the Pass.
People from across the Coast come out each year to War Memorial Park where Santa rides in on his sleigh and lights up the city’s Christmas tree before continuing his ride toward Davis Avenue.
The event also gives attendees a chance to enjoy local food vendors, partake in some holiday themed arts and crafts and features a train ride for the children this year.
Earl Washington with the City of Pass Christian says that it is more than just a holiday event, it’s a chance to become closer as a community. “Everybody in Pass Christian knows everybody. When any time they can get together for a function like this so they can have some camaraderie, especially during this time of year when everything is really a festival. It’s really enjoyable to get out and wish everybody a really happy Christmas.”
If you couldn’t make it out tonight, the fun isn’t over. The city’s annual holiday dog show will take place at War Memorial Park tomorrow at noon.
