Christmas at Beauvoir

Christmas is one of the world’s most historic traditions, so why not spend some of this holiday season somewhere rich in Southern history?
Beauvoir is again celebrating Christmas in grand fashion this year with lights throughout the garden, as well as family nights that include kid crafts, hay rides, pony rides and musical entertainment.
It’s a tradition at the Jefferson Davis home and those who work there hope you’ll join throughout the month. Tours, Programs and Events Coordinator Kitsaa Stevens said, “It’s for families. I mean, you can’t beat $5 a car load. So, just pile everybody in the car, bring the whole family. There’s something for everyone. While mom and dad are looking at the house, the kids can be on the hayride. Grown-ups can be museuming while kids are bouncing in the bouncy house and riding ponies through the garden, which is lit beautifully this year.”
There will be blue grass porch picking performances a few nights throughout the month. You can look forward to a live nativity scene on December 22nd and 23rd.
