Children’s Health Fair Saturday at Edgewater Mall

To likely the joy of parents and the dismay of children, Coast students will be headed back to school in just under two weeks.
Before they head back, one Coast rotary club is making sure children are equipped with everything they need once that first bell rings. The Edgewater Rotary Club will be hosting their 30th annual Children’s Health Fair at Edgewater Mall.
From 9 until 1 on Saturday, parents and their children can just show up to receive eye and dental screenings, height and weight checks as well as immunizations. They will also get a bag full of school supplies. Steve Theobald with the Edgewater Rotary Club said, “My favorite thing is when they come up for registration, these bright-eyed children, they’re all excited about getting their school supplies. The parents are there happy to get their health screenings for them and school supplies, too. Just to see the joy in these children and the parents, too. They’re all wonderful people.”
Theobald went on to tell News 25 they have seen well over 400 children show up for nearly every health fair.
