Child Abuse Conference in Biloxi

Law enforcement officials, social workers and prosecutors, just to name a few, are crucial when it comes to child abuse response. Today, they are gathering on the Coast.

They are here for the One Loud Voice: A Multi-Disciplinary Approach to Child Abuse Conference. About 300 hundred of these responders will hope to team up to discover how they can better respond to child abuse cases. Conference organizers are also bringing in dozens of national speakers to help them be the best aids for our abused youth. Executive Director for the Children Advocacy Centers of Mississippi Karla Tye said, “This is a great conference for all of those individuals to come together and cross train with each other on child abuse. We don’t want professionals working in a silo. It takes a team to respond to these cases. We want to make sure that we are bringing the best training possible for professionals.”

The conference will last until tomorrow and you can still attend and register on-site if you’d like.
