Charges upgraded for three men in connection with body found in Pascagoula River
The three men charged with accessory after the fact to capital murder in the death of a Gautier man are now each charged with capital murder.
Twenty-seven year-old Zachary Cooper of Moss Point, 36-year-old Jason Lee Miller of Lucedale, and 23-year-old Taylor Allan Carpenter of Escatawpa are accused of killing Dustin Suttles. Suttles’ body was found floating in the Pascagoula River on September 22nd. Sheriff Mike Ezell says the accessory charge against each man was upgraded Tuesday, October 13th.
Joseph Paul McLeod, 33 of Pascagoula, was the first person charged with capital murder in the case.
All four men have made their initial court appearances. They are all being held without bond in the Jackson County Adult Detention Center, pending their preliminary court hearings.
