Chandeleur Island Brewing hosts eighth annual Chandyfest

The rain Saturday did not stop people from having a good time at Chandyfest in Gulfport.

Some events and performances were moved inside during the worst of the rain.

Children were outside splashing in puddles and playing games while adults relaxed and listened to Grits and Greens.

This is Chandeleur Island Brewing Company’s eighth year holding this event. For them, it’s always a fun time rain or shine. Taproom Manager Paige Moore said, “It’s a huge event. It’s a ton of fun to put on. It just shows how many local supporters that we have. Not just out of Mississippi, but from Louisiana and Alabama as well. People come from all over just to come enjoy Chandyfest.”
