Centennial Plaza taking reservations

Reservations have opened up for a much anticipated Gulfport resort.

The Grand Centennial Hotel and the Oasis Resort have both begun taking reservations for Labor Day Weekend which is planning to be the Grand Centennial Plaza’s grand opening weekend.

Construction continues on the almost 50 acre property which, in addition to both hotels, will feature a lazy river, three restaurants, an event center, and a park.

Tessy Lambert with Lodging and Leisure Investments tell News 25 they plan for Centennial Plaza to be more than just a resort, but a center for events in Gulfport. “We will be opening up the park to any events and festivals that are going to happen here on the Coast. We also have the chapel, which is not actually a chapel, it is an event space that can be rented for weddings, meetings, any of that.”

The inaugural Chillin’ on the Gulf Coast Music Festival is booked with the plaza and will take place this upcoming September.
