Catholic Diocese of Biloxi clergy personnel file review

Soon, the Catholic Diocese of Biloxi will be releasing the names of clergy members removed from ministry.

The diocese will be releasing the names of anyone removed since 1977 when they were established. They are doing this personnel file review in conjunction with the Archdiocese of Mobile and the Diocese of Jackson and Birmingham.

This release is part of their ongoing effort to be transparent and accountable. The Diocese of Biloxi encourages anyone with knowledge of abuse to report it to the proper authorities.

The Biloxi Diocese also put out this statement: “We join with all people of good will in praying for victims of abuse and earnestly urge all institutions, public and private, to shine a light of truth on a serious societal problem.”

The diocese says the release of names will happen in the near future.
