CASA Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

CASA of Harrison County is looking a bit brighter after receiving a free makeover.
Today, CASA volunteers and other officials in Harrison County gathered as Gulfport Mayor Billy Hewes cut the ribbon to their renovated center. A new deck was added to the back so volunteers don’t trip when they walk outside. New flooring was added to bring a cleaner look to the inside. Lowes and Keesler Federal Credit Union were among those who helped volunteer the equipment and hard labor.
CASA Harrison County Executive Director Roy Kitchell said, “The improvements that Lowe’s and Keesler airmen have helped us with are just amazing. It gives us another chance to bring people, make people aware of what we are doing, advocating for abused and neglected children and to do it in a more professional environment when we bring everybody in.”
CASA always need volunteers to be the voice of neglected children. If you are interested in helping out, please call the Harrison County location at 228-865-7078.
