CASA of Hancock County’s pop up dinner
CASA of Hancock County had their pop up dinner tonight hosted by the Lazy Magnolia Brewery who made CASA of Hancock their charity of choice for the next year.
C & C Italian Bistro served up a seven course meal tonight, paired with several craft beers. CASA say they had a goal of selling 60 tickets and ended up selling 100.
Cynthia Chauvin, executive director of CASA, tells News 25 benefits like this are vital to the program. She says the money raised from this event will help recruit more volunteers. “We actually have a training coming up in about a month. So, it’s perfect timing for us to be able to identify new community members and then put them through the training. So, it’s directly going to benefit kids.”
If you would like to become a CASA volunteer you can visit their website at CASAhancockcounty.org. The next CASA event will be their draft party next Thursday, July 26th at the Red Zone in Diamondhead.
