CASA fundraiser

There’s nothing like a hot meal on a chilly evening to start the weekend, especially if it’s for a good cause.

Connect Fellowship Church in Gulfport hosted a fundraiser to support the CASA organization. For $40 you could purchase a delicious smoked pork butt. For every purchase, locals have the chance to win a $100 Visa gift card. The goal was to sell 32 pork butts by the end of the day.

Every dollar helps fight a bigger mission to help abused or neglected children to live a better life. Public Affairs and Marketing Director Jourdan Hartshorn said, “That’s what it’s all about, the bigger picture, not the small bit of funds. Every little bit helps and that’s one of the reasons why I do these fundraisers. At the end of the day, I know I help a greater cause.”

The next fundraiser for Connect Fellowship Church will be around Easter. This time, smoked ham is on the menu.
