CASA drafting new members

CASA is in need of advocates and they brought in former Saints running back Deuce McAllister to help draft some new volunteers.
In honor of the upcoming NFL season, CASA put together a draft party at the Red Zone Bar and Grill in Diamondhead to hopefully reel in some more volunteers. Recently, CASA has received an increasing number of children come into foster care from the north part of Hancock County,
McAllister is an advocate for CASA and he came out to draft some first round picks for these children. “A lot of times, I don’t want to call it neglect, but you know, I think these kids need love and I think that’s what our volunteers and our advocates are able to do. So, for me, it’s just to be able to come over and support and help them and to hopefully continue to get people involved.”
CASA Hancock County Executive Director Cynthia Chauvin said, “We actually signed up 24 people tonight. We had a goal of 15 and 15 is pretty lofty so 24 is just mind blowing.”
