Car Accident Sends Three to the Hospital in Gulfport

Shortly after 5:40 this afternoon in Gulfport, two cars were involved in an accident that sent three people to a local hospital.
The Gulfport Police Department says the wreck was a result of a light colored Cadillac attempting to turn left off of Highway 49 on Duckworth Road when it was struck by a red Chevy Impala traveling south on Highway 49. Both cars then left the road, winding up in a ditch.
Two people from the Cadillac and the driver of the Impala were sent to local hospitals for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
