Cancer Survivor Day

Cancer is something that can touch people in different ways, so honoring those that are survivors is very important.

That’s why ever since 2016, Singing River Health Systems has held their Cancer Survivor Day. It is a day all about connecting the community.

The celebration will be held under the Pascagoula Bridge next to the lighthouse from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 15th.

There will be live music, family activities, tons of food, and organizers say anyone and everyone is welcome to come. Cancer Center Operations Coordinator Amy Linton said, “Cancer is one of those things that touches everybody and to have the opportunity to, in such a beautiful setting, to celebrate them and just enjoy the day with them outside of the office, outside of chemotherapy, or you know, anything like that or the hospital stays that they have. We love to do it and celebrate them.”

If you would like to volunteer at the event you can call 228-808-2057 or they say you can also just show up ready to help!
