‘Camille at 50’ Luncheon

Members of the community gathered today to hear stories and recollections of Hurricane Camille.

This week’s edition of the ‘Camille Conversations’ Luncheon at the Maritime and Seafood Industry Museum in Biloxi featured three retired employees from Mississippi Power who helped in the recovery efforts from the storm.

Presenter John Peranich talked about his experience restoring power in Pass Christian after the storm. “It was a tough ordeal and it took a lot. We learned a lot about storms and disasters from that experience.”

August 17th marks the 50th anniversary of Camille’s landfall on the Gulf Coast.
