Businesses Prepare for Labor Day Crowds

Businesses all along the Coast are laboring to accommodate large crowds and shoppers as the Labor Day weekend draws near.
From restaurants to boutiques, owners tell News 25 they hope locals and tourists take advantage of all the sales and specials during the holiday weekend.
The Gulfport Premium Outlet expects residents and tourists to cover the grounds all weekend in search of final back to school items and end of summer deals.
It’s also a time for shoppers to get a head start on the latest fall fashions. Prime Outlets Director of Marketing Rhonda Roberts said, “We have a lot of stores that will be running the 60 to 70 percent off the clearance. J. Crew will be 50 percent off. Banana Republic. Some of the stores will just do that flat discount like 50 percent off the entire store. It’s a great time to get out and shop.”
Plenty of stores will also offer online deals for those who prefer to skip the long lines and large crowds.
